(EN) Long time before any outdoors recognition they believed in my work and gave me the honor to photograph their daughter’s baptism. This was 6 years ago! A promise was made that if they ever decided to get married, they wanted me to be their photographer. Last Saturday the wedding finally happened 🤍

(EN) I know this is strange but I do like #blackandwhiteweddingphotography. I do prefer color, but there are always some photos like these that seem to ask to be stripped of color to show themselves with more impact.

(EN) Last week I had the pleasure to photograph a wedding in Tavira, in The Algarve, one of my favorite parts of Portugal ❤️. This wedding was yet another challenge because it forced me to use my rusty French to communicate, since half of the 200 guests were either French from the bride side or Portuguese that live in France, from the groom side. Let’s just say I had to fill-in the gaps with some English and Portuguese 😅
Side note: This was exactly my 10th wedding outside Madeira Islands since I started getting requests to do it back in 2019. With no connections or partnerships in the wedding business outside Madeira, any islander will tell you how hard it is to accomplish that still living in the island.
(PT) Na semana passada tive o prazer de fotografar um casamento em Tavira, no Algarve, uma das minhas zonas favoritas de Portugal ❤️. Este foi mais um desafio porque me obrigou a usar o meu francês enferrujado para comunicar, já que metade dos 200 convidados eram franceses por parte da noiva ou portugueses que vivem em França, por parte do noivo. Digamos apenas que tive que preencher as lacunas com um pouco de inglês e português 😅
Nota: Este foi o meu 10º casamento fora da Ilha da Madeira desde que comecei a receber pedidos para fazê-lo em 2019. Com nenhuma ligação, contacto ou parceria no negócio de casamentos fora da Madeira, qualquer ilhéu sabe o quanto é difícil vingar lá fora, vivendo na ilha.

(EN) Only a month to go until these two tie the knot! I met @nelsonbrito42 and @filipaamirandaa back in 2016 for their daughter’s baptism. Back then I was working as a photographer for a year, but still they promised that if by any chance they decided to get married I would be the photographer. And here we are, 7 years later, they are finally getting married 😅!!!
(PT) Falta apenas um mês para estes dois se casarem! Conheci o @nelsonbrito42 e a @filipaamirandaa em 2016 para o batismo da filha deles. Na época eu trabalhava como fotógrafo fazia pouco mais que um ano, mas ainda assim eles prometeram que se por acaso decidissem casar eu seria o fotógrafo.
