Éze Village, just outside Nice, has always been one of my bucket-list places to photograph. Perched high above the French Riviera, it has everything I love in a destination wedding location: breathtaking views over the Mediterranean, narrow medieval streets, stone walls, a château, and the beautiful exotic gardens that make the whole village feel almost unreal.
So when Caroline and Tjakko, an American couple from Ohio, got in touch with me in September 2021 and told me that, after doing their research, they wanted me to photograph their wedding at Château Eza, my jaw genuinely dropped. It felt like one of those coincidences that are almost too perfect — a place I had dreamed of photographing, and a couple who had somehow found their way to me.
Their wedding in Éze was intimate, elegant and full of atmosphere — exactly the kind of celebration that makes the French Riviera feel so special.
