I am based in Madeira Island, Portugal, and regularly photograph weddings across mainland Portugal, including Lisbon, Sintra, Porto, Braga, the Douro Valley and the Algarve. I also work internationally for a selected number of destination weddings each year, having photographed celebrations in France, Italy, Greece, Spain and the United States in the last few years.

No. Madeira is my home and one of the places I know best, but I also photograph weddings throughout Portugal and abroad. I regularly travel for weddings, pre-weddings and multi-day celebrations, especially when the location, atmosphere and story are aligned with the way I work.

For weddings during peak season or in popular destinations, it is usually better to enquire as early as possible. Many couples get in touch between 9 and 18 months before the wedding, although I may still have availability for shorter-notice weddings depending on the date, location and type of celebration.

Yes. I photograph intimate weddings, elopements and smaller celebrations, especially when there is a strong sense of place, emotion and atmosphere. The coverage can be adapted to the rhythm of the day, whether it is a short ceremony, a portrait session in nature or a full-day experience with family and friends.

Yes. Most weddings are photographed with full-day coverage, from the preparations to the party. This allows me to tell the story with more depth and without forcing the day into a strict timeline. For destination weddings and multi-day events, additional coverage can also be included.

I usually photograph intimate weddings solo, but a second photographer can be recommended for larger weddings, multi-day celebrations, Indian weddings, events with different locations or moments happening at the same time. I will always advise you honestly based on the structure of your wedding and what would genuinely add value.

Yes. Film photography can be included depending on the collection and the rhythm of the wedding day. I see film as a complementary layer rather than a replacement for digital coverage. It can add texture, softness and a certain unpredictability, while the main coverage remains consistent and complete.

I have a consistent visual approach, but I do not apply the same treatment mechanically to every wedding. Light, location, season, colour and atmosphere all influence the final result.
The photographs remain coherent with my work while preserving the character of your celebration. You are also welcome to share references from my portfolio that feel closest to your taste.

Yes. I am always happy to give practical advice about the timeline, especially around light, portraits, ceremony timing and travel between locations. This is particularly important for destination weddings, where the landscape, sunset time and logistics can strongly influence the final photographs.

I try to be calm, attentive and unobtrusive for most of the day, allowing real moments to happen naturally. When direction is useful, especially for portraits, group photos or editorial images, I guide gently and clearly. The goal is never to turn the wedding into a photoshoot, but to create space for images that feel elegant, emotional and honest.

Yes. Family photographs are important and can be done in a simple, efficient way. I usually recommend preparing a short list in advance, so this part of the day is organised and does not take longer than necessary. This keeps the experience relaxed while making sure the essential combinations are covered.

Delivery times depend on the season, the size of the wedding and the complexity of the edit. Every gallery is carefully selected, edited and prepared before delivery. I will always give you a realistic estimate before booking, and for some collections a first selection of highlights may be delivered earlier.

The Essence collection includes 800+ images, while the Collection, Anthology and Absolute collections include 1,000+, 1,250+ and 2,000+ photographs, respectively.

You will receive a first selection of highlights shortly after the wedding, allowing you to relive and share some of the atmosphere while the full gallery is being prepared.
The complete gallery is usually delivered within six weeks to sixteen weeks, depending on the season, the size of the wedding and the collection selected.
Selected collections include an expedited delivery option, with a larger preview available within the first week and priority delivery of the complete gallery.

Yes. For most weddings, especially destination weddings, a video call is the best way to understand the plans, answer questions and see if the connection feels right. Trust is important, because the way you feel around your photographer has a real impact on the photographs.
