Just a couple of days after their beautiful Indian wedding — held right here at Reid’s Palace in Madeira Island — Kavita and Sri met me again for a quieter moment together. No guests, no schedule, no rush… just the two of them enjoying the hotel before flying back to the UK.
As we wandered through the gardens, the soft rain started to fall, but instead of stopping, we decided to make it part of the experience. Kavita and Sri didn’t mind the weather at all — they shared an umbrella, laughed and wrapped each other in those little post-wedding moments of calm that feel so precious. After days of celebration, this session felt like a breath of fresh air.
That’s what I love about shooting in the rain: it slows everything down. There’s no pretending, no perfect conditions — just real connection. There’s something wildly romantic about being caught in the rain — especially at a place like Reid’s Palace.
